The pension is located in an Art Nouveau building, which was established in 1906 by viennese architect Alois Schützenberger. It is to mention that the façade stands under protection of monuments as well as the forging entrance door which is also in Art Nouveau design. The hotel pension was taken over at 1969 by the Széles family and runs as a family business in third generation already. Likewise the name "Quisisana" was taken as a trademark. The name "QUISISANA" was already used as a term in ancient Rome for shelters and inns (the translated meaning of Quisisana is: to feel well and healthy).
