The idea that life can be a stage not only for heroes but also for ordinary mortals, is not more than hundred years old. Only in 1972 it became declared valid, musically, by Liza Minelli: in a movie which is namednot accidentallyCabaret. The name derives from the trays on which meals and drinks used to be served in the inns of Montmartre in Paris at the end of the 19th century.
